With over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and a former chef at some of Philadelphia’s most famous and respected Asian restaurants - Sampan, Buddakan, and Susanna Foo - Chef Sam is making a name for himself with his own restaurant concept: Bao & Bun Studio.
With his unique take on a classic Asian street food - the Bao Bun (also known as Gua Bao, or "Taiwanese Sandwich”) - Chef Sam creates a fusion of classic Chinese tradition with Western sensibilities. What results is a delicious (and fun!) eating experience.

Bao & Bun offers drop-off catering. We're happy to design a custom menu that meets the needs of your group and we can accommodate a wide range of party sizes. We offer both pickup and delivery. Delivery can be arranged for Philadelphia and the surrounding area (delivery fee will be based on distance from our kitchen).

IN MANDARIN, BAO & BUN MEANS “BUN IS GREAT”!
As a new business, the cost of renting a store can be very expensive. So we decided to rent a kitchen studio to start with. That way, we are able to afford the best quality ingredients in our food!
BAO & BUN's focus is to serve high-quality food at a great value, and to provide excellent and friendly customer service.
